Pachna is situated in the heart of the wine producing region of the Troodos foothills and, at an elevation of 2000 feet, benefits from clear mountain air and low summertime humidity. It is a thriving village of medium size and has several amenities including supermarket, bank, butchers, hairdressers, taverna, fish restaurant and several coffee shops. Several excellent beaches are only 20 minutes away. Pachna is scheduled to become a heritage village assisted by funding from the EU.

The house was thought to have originally been a grain mill. It is built mainly of local stone and stands on a plot of 613 sq. metres at the end of a quiet lane on the edge of the village adjacent to a vineyard.

The house is fully renovated with gas central heating throughout. A solar water heater provides free hot water for most of the year. All floors are tiled in ceramic or terrazzo. The tiled roof is double pitched, fully insulated and lined underneath with pine boarding and, with exposed rafters throughout, gives the house an ‘airy’ feel. A Sky satellite dish is installed and TV and telephone sockets are available in all rooms.

There is a good sized living room measuring 5.25m x 4.9m with French window to veranda and garden.

The adjoining kitchen (4.9m x 3m) also has a French window to the veranda and garden and is equipped with a high quality built-in electric oven, 5 burner gas hob, and extractor hood all in stainless steel. There are also 2 fridge/freezers and a washing machine.

The Hall (4.3m x 1.7m) gives access to a fully tiled Bathroom (3.85m x 1.7m), a Computer/Office Alcove (2.4m x 1.5m) and two bedrooms.

The Master Bedroom (4.4m x 3.7m) is fully air-conditioned and has built-in wardrobes and storage cupboards along one wall. A second door leads out to the garden via a second veranda.

The Guest Bedroom (3.4m x 2.5m) has built-in wardrobe and cupboards.

The large garden has room for a swimming pool andshould really be seen to be fully appreciated especially bearing in mind that life in Cyprus is largely an outdoor one.

The winding pathways and ‘living’ areas are paved in local stone and provide easy access. The garden has many mature trees such as almond, apricot, lemon, pomegranate, palm, jacaranda, grevillia, bougainvillea, oleander, and eucalyptus. There is also a water fountain and garden lighting both with remote control.

A covered veranda runs the full length of the house and provides welcome shade. Attached to the veranda is a pergola which makes an ideal outdoor dining area with dappled shade.

Car access is through wrought iron gates into a purpose built car shelter which provides useful storage space within its roof space. This is situated in a far corner of the garden and is screened by trees and shrubs.

In another far corner is a brick built tiled roof workshop (4m x 2.5m) equipped with work bench and extensive shelving. Behind the workshop is a lean-to shelter and bench generally used for potting plants etc.
