Full Description: The two bedrooms are reached from either side of the first floor entrance hall; full linen and bedding are provided. The floor retains the original marble tiles and wood-panelled ceilings. Furnishings include table & chairs, chest of drawers, bedside table & lamps, clothes rail & floor rugs. The main bedroom features a king size double bed, the second bedroom has two single beds. Both rooms have large shuttered windows to the street side and a large window opposite with views across the garden over the valley to the vine-covered hillsides. An outside stone staircase leads down to the ground floor and walled, terraced garden.
The ground floor consists of a large, fully equipped kitchen inc. sideboard, table & chairs, gas oven and fridge-freezer. An open arch leads into a spacious salon with a traditional stone floor and cedar wood beamed ceiling. It contains a double sofa bed, a wrought iron single bed, armchairs, rugs, table & chairs and a coffee table. The salon remains fresh and even during the hottest summer days; the cast-iron wood fire is currently out of use. All rooms have oil radiators. There is a TV/video and music system.
From the salon, double-doors open onto the terraced gardenandcitrus grove. Situated in the garden, a few paces from the house are the bath/utility room with a separate lavatory. Renovated from the original old kitchen itnow has shuttered windows overlooking the garden and contains a tiled shower-room, washing machine and sink.
The garden consists of three large, flat, traditional stone terraces with planted beds and a small, shady citrus grove of seven fruit trees. The original bread oven is still intact as are the three pitharias; huge terracotta vessels formerly used to ferment wine. The garden is totally private offering a wonderful situation for alfresco meals. Garden table & chairs and a large parasol are provided. Arsos village is peaceful, charming in character and fortunately has been protected from modern developments.
